Opening: Search Engine Optimization Specialist - FTE, Portland
Our software product company seeks a SEO superhero for our downtown Portland office. Specifically, we're looking for someone to actively help our company position itself (ethically and organically) on major search engines.
During the first year of the job, this superhero will work closely with our team to develop working knowledge of our business and our customers and parlay this knowledge into greater brand recognition in our industry through the channel of search engine positioning.
More specifically, you’ll be developing and implementing company-wide SEO Best Practices (and documenting said practices). Additionally, you’ll develop and implement social media optimization and marketing (including viral, public relations, and word of mouth marketing strategies) best practices.

- 3+ years of successful SEO results (bring references please
- Demonstrable experience with ethical SEO techniques to produce high rankings in Google and other ‘major’ engines (3+ years experience)
- Demonstrable understanding of Google Adwords – metrics, management and of course PPC positioning / campaign management (2+ years experience)
- Ability to work full time (40-45 hours a week)
- Intermediate computer skills utilizing popular software like Microsoft Office, Google Apps, PDF tools, and similar
- Experience with Salesforce.com
- Experience with LinkedIn, Wikipedia, Facebook and Myspace
- Experience with Drupal CMS
- Experience with HTML and or PHP
- Knowledge of the Agile software development industry
