ScrumWorks Pro Trial FAQ
Q: Can I try ScrumWorks Pro on a trial basis with my data before I buy it?
A: Yes. Rather than forcing you to use a hosted demo with fake data, we offer a 35-day free on-site trial of ScrumWorks Pro. You may use your own data or a sample product.
Q: Can I upgrade my current freeware ScrumWorks installation and migrate my data to ScrumWorks Pro?
A: Yes. ScrumWorks Pro comes with a simple .exe installer (for Windows) or an installation script for Mac and Linux. To upgrade to ScrumWorks Pro, point the installer at your existing ScrumWorks installation and your data will be migrated automatically.
Q: If I end up deciding to buy ScrumWorks Pro after my trial, can I continue using the “trial” installation?
A: Yes. If you decide to buy during or after your trial, a new full license will be issued and you can continue using the same installation that you used during your trial.
Q: Once I request a trial license, how long before I receive it?
A: Trial requests can take up to one full business day from the time of request.
Q: Why upgrade to a commercial edition of ScrumWorks?
A: While the free edition is not going away, most new feature development will be released as part of ScrumWorks Pro. In addition to access to new features, ScrumWorks Pro is fully supported by Danube Technologies, one of the leading Scrum consulting firms in the world.
Q: What if after I upgrade I choose to continue using the free version of ScrumWorks, can I downgrade my data back to the free Basic edition?
A: No. Data saved in ScrumWorks Pro cannot be migrated to ScrumWorks Basic. We recommend that customers evaluating ScrumWorks Pro keep their ScrumWorks Basic data safe in case a downgrade is necessary.
Q: Do I get a new license file for use with ScrumWorks Pro or can I use my old freeware license?
A: You need a new license file for use with ScrumWorks Pro. Upon submission of the trial request form, you will receive a ScrumWorks Pro download link and 35 day trial license file.
